The Japanese automaker has announced to launch 2021 Mazda CX-5, CX-7, and Mazda6 with the carbon edition package featuring Polymetal Gray shade with black trim, dark finish wheels, red leather upholstery with similar stitching, and black accent inside.

Mazda did not reveal much about the carbon edition package, so we have to wait until the company releases more details.

The move comes in the wake of dropping sales in the US due to COVID-19. In order to attract more potential customers, the automaker decided to give their best offerings some cosmetic and mechanical touches.

The automaker also upgraded the 2021 Mazda3 and equipped it with two new engines i.e. a 2.5L Turbo four generating 250 hp and a 2.0L naturally aspirated creating 155 hp.

There is more in the pipeline as the Mazda6 is due to enter the next generation in 2022 and may adopt a rear-wheel-drive configuration and a more powerful 350 hp V6 engine.

Mazda had plans to build a new assembly plant in Alabama this year, which is a joint venture with Toyota. However, the Coronavirus has postponed this construction, with a new opening date to be announced later.
