Meet the Zagato IsoRivolta GTZ, a new sports coupe designed by the Italian coachbuilder Zagato – famous for creating extraordinary designs. As customary for the designer, it carries a mill from an American car, and this time it is the Chevrolet Corvette.
Zagato took encouragement from the Iso A3/C of the 1960s – the race car model of the Zagato Grifo. The coupe was first revealed in concept form in 2017.
Zagato borrowed the V8 engine from the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and tweaked it to bump its displacement from 6.2L to 6.8L. Obviously, it is done to create more power and torque, but how much. We still do not know. We also got to know the IsoRivolta GTZ’s exterior will be made of carbon to keep the weight low.
The company will create only 19 units of the Zagato IsoRivolta GTZ, and nine of them are already accounted for. The coachbuilder plans to reveal all the details in October and deliver the car by the end of this year or probably at the start of next year.
We do not know about the pricing yet but we bet it will be pricey.
