To clarify confusion in people’s minds, The National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NECMA) has issued car traveling guidelines. According to the new social distancing rules during the COVID-19 pandemic, no more than three people can travel in a car, with the exception of members of the same family.

It means a vehicle can accommodate as many people as per the seats available in it if they are of the same family. On the other hand, only three non-relative persons can share a vehicle. All persons in the vehicle must wear face masks.

Anyone who disobeys these social distancing rules will have to bear Dh3,000 fine. For more details, you can call the Weqaya hotline at 800-WAQAYA.
