Lamborghini has teased the SCV12 track car again with a tagline “New Model Launch Stay Tuned.” The car, which has been teased for about a year now, will finally hit the stage soon without any camouflage.
Created by Lamborghini’s Squadra Corse racing division, it is a pure hardcore track car with no real headlights and is designed with keeping one thing in mind i.e. the absolute power on the race track.
For improved aerodynamics, it has big fenders and a diffuser at the back to create a massive downforce, better than the GT3-class. As should be the case for a track car, the engineers at Squadra Corse made it very light (exact weight not known yet) thanks to the carbon fiber chassis and magnesium wheels.
The power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 producing a monstrous 830 horsepower.
The automaker didn’t reveal the pricing details of the Lamborghini SCV12 yet but we expect it will be in six figures and very few will be made.
As from the teaser, we can expect the unveiling very soon, maybe next month. However, the exact date is still a mystery.
