Maserati surprised its fans in 2018 when they introduced the Levante Trofeo SUV with its most powerful V8 engine. And now the automaker seems to be working on two new vehicles featuring the new V8, according to a teaser the company recently posted on its Facebook and Twitter pages. The image reveals the new Ghibli Trofeo and Quattroporte Trofeo, which are going to debut on August 10.

The Italian automaker did not reveal anything else but we expect the two sedans will carry the V8 mill available in the Levante Trofeo. We also deem the three new vehicles (third one could be the facelifted Levante SUV) may boast a new 4.0L engine in place of the Ferrari-sourced 3.8L V8 pumping power in the current Levante Trofeo.

Motor1 revealed some spy shots last year and guessed the engine could generate up to 590 horsepower, something equal to the top-of-the-line variant powered by the 3.8 V8. With a new 4.0 V8, we expect the power output to go beyond the 600 hp mark.

Stay tuned to know about the official reveal.
