The Italian automaker Maserati has joined the electrification bandwagon with the introduction of the 2021 Maserati Ghibli Hybrid. While we were hoping the new generation of the Ghibli this year, the automaker only gave it a mild facelift.

The Ghibli hybrid is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine paired with an electric supercharger, a 48-volt alternator, and a battery position at the rear. The hybrid powertrain generates 330 horsepower at 5,750 rpm and 450 Newton-meters of torque at 4,000 rpm. This power enables it to hit 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 155 km/h. The power goes to the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.

To highlight its hybrid nature, the automaker included blue exterior accents on the outside. The same blue theme is also visible inside. The changes on the outside encompass a revised grille and headlights as well as new taillights.

Inside, it now has an updated infotainment system with Android Auto, which is bigger at 10.1 inches. The instrument cluster is now completely digital.

The 2021 Maserati Ghibli Hybrid starts the automaker’s electrification journey. In the next phase, we are expecting all-electric models of the GranTurismo and GranCabrio.

We did not get the pricing details nor we know about its arrival in the UAE yet. Stay tuned for updates!
