The high-performance motorsport division of the Spanish automobile manufacturer SEAT, Cupra has revealed the 2021 Cupra Ateca with a revised design, a little more tech, and some tweaks in the chassis. We can see a change in the LED headlights, new bumper, and new fog lights. The grille is now bigger, similar to what we have seen in Cupra Formentor plug-in hybrid.
At the rear, we find full-LED taillights with sequential turn signals and quad exhausts. Buyers can choose from six different exterior paints and six alloy wheel patterns of 19 inches.
Inside, the 2021 Cupra Ateca features a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Cupra did not change the engine, so expect the same turbocharged 2.0L gasoline good for 300 horsepower and 400 Newton-meters of torque. However, subtle alterations in the chassis make it a more powerful crossover. The performance figures include 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 247 km/h. The engine mates to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive layout.
Skoda has created this crossover at its Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic. Pricing details aren’t revealed yet. It will go on sale in Europe in the 3rd Quarter.
