Ford has announced that the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E customers will receive 250 kilowatt-hours of complimentary recharging at Electrify America, adequate for about three to five complete DC fast charges, as per the battery.
“The 250 kilowatt-hours of complimentary charging we’re offering through FordPass Rewards and the FordPass Charging Network with Electrify America will give our Mustang Mach-E customers confidence in their ability to plan trips, no matter their destination,” Matt Stover, Ford director of charging, energy services, and business development, stated.
The company is also offering Connected Charge Station Home Wallbox for $799. This will recharge the extended-range battery of a rear-wheel-drive Mach-E during the night. The customers can buy the charging station now and install it at their home before their Mach-E appears at their door. By the end of 2020, customers will also be able to buy the Wallbox at Amazon Home Services.
The 2021 Mach-E will hit the US roads in the fall of this year. The first two variants include Premium and First Edition. The former will come with standard and extended-range batteries, giving buyers an option between rear-wheel all-wheel drive. The First Edition will offer a bigger battery and an all-wheel drive.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Mach-E won’t reach the European markets until early next year.
