The GM subsidiary Buick has introduced the updated 2021 Buick Envision with a stylish look and plenty of safety features. Although what we see in pictures is stunning, we don’t know much about the crossover.
All we know are some details of its engine and safety tech. Under the hood, it reportedly has a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The new Envision will also have a new trim Avenir probably featuring a new turbo 2.0L generating 252 horsepower or a 2.5L mill with 197-hp.
What pleases us the most is a standard safety tech suite, which comprises automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, rear park assist, and forward collision alert among others. The rear cross-traffic alert, a head-up display, HD Surround Vision, front park assist, etc., come in the options list.
Unfortunately, the automaker did not reveal any pictures of the interior. Taking into account the exterior looks, we expect an equally magnificent cabin. The 2021 Buick Envision should come with Buick’s first 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The system will support Amazon Alexa as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 2021 Buick Envision should hit the US dealerships at the start of next year with pricing details unveiled before the launch. For reference, the 2020 Envision costs $33,500, and we should expect to pay a little more than that for the new model.
