The low-priced Mini Oxford Edition, accessible merely to college students, new graduates, and active or lately retired US military personnel is now on sale for everyone. The good news is, Mini has expanded the line up and added bigger Countryman with both front- and all-wheel-drive layouts. The prices are still lower than the standard models and the cars come with some attractive features.
“Our Oxford Editions are all about offering Mini models with incredible value, at an attractive price, without giving up style, substance, and Mini’s fun-to-drive characteristics,” said Mike Peyton, vice president of Mini Americas. “Offering our Oxford Editions to everyone and adding the versatile Countryman Oxford Edition are additional means of making Mini more accessible to more customers.”
The Countryman Oxford Edition is priced at $25,900 (destination charge excluded), while the All4 variant costs $27,900. These prices are $3,000 and $2,500 less than the Classic models, respectively. Mini has added 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, an anthracite headliner, automatic climate control, and six unique exterior shade choices in the Countryman.
The standard Cooper Oxford Edition starts at $19,750 for the two-door, which is $3,650 less than the base Classic model. The Cooper too has updated 17-inch wheels, heated seats, and six color choices. A dual-pane panoramic moon roof is part of the deal, as well.
The customers will be able to get the Countryman Oxford Edition from July, while the Cooper Mini Oxford Edition is already on sale.
