To commemorate Prius’ twenty years of success in the United States, the Japanese automaker has introduced the Toyota Prius 2020 Edition. To make this edition more memorable and exclusive, the company decided to build only 2,020 units.

The 2021 Toyota Prius 2020 Edition will be available in two shades; Supersonic Red and Wind Chill Pearl. The exterior sports black trim, body-color rear spoiler and standard 17-in wheels.

The interior also employs black trim on the shift knob and A-pillar trim with key fob and floor mats showing 2020 insignia on them.

The XLE variant would also feature a heated, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and heated steering wheel. Toyota has also added the Android Auto functionality, following the introduction of the Apple CarPlay in the older models.

The Toyota Prius 2020 Edition would be a highly safe car thanks to Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 driver assistance system. The system comes standard with a range of safety tech encompassing pre-collision braking with low-light pedestrian detection, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, parking assist, bicyclist detection, lane departure alert, automatic high beams, and road sign assist.

The Prius 2020 will debut online on May 18 at 11:00 AM EDT.
