The Ministry of Energy and Industry has decided not to change the UAE fuel prices for May 2020. It means the prices for May will be the same as April 2020, which witnessed a drop of 10%.

As the UAE government locked down the country and started a 24H sterilization campaign, most of the residents were advised to work from home. With school closed and restriction on movement, the traffic on roads was negligible. The authorities recently have eased the lockdown and resumed its transport system. People now can visit malls and do their shopping keeping the safe distance and following all other precautions.

Earlier last week, the U.S. Crude oil landed in the negative territory as the demand was dropped dramatically due to lockdowns around the world. However, the prices of oil are now increasing as some parts of the world have eased the lockdown. Additionally, Opec and Russia have agreed on cutting the production by almost 10 million BPD, which may increase oil prices in May.
