The German tuner Novitec, loves fiddling with the world’s most famous vehicles from Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Tesla, Rolls-Royce and Maserati. Their latest creation, the Maserati Levante Esteso is as stunning as a Trofeo can be. The tuner took the stock Levante Trofeo and made prominent changes in it to make it faster and more muscular.
Novitec tweaked the Maserati Levante Trofeo’s twin-turbo 3.8L V8 engine producing 580 horsepower and 730 Newton-meters of torque in an attempt to make it more powerful. The results are quite astonishing; the V8 from Ferrari now pumps out 616 horsepower and 820 Nm of torque, which make it quicker than the world’s quickest production SUV, the Bentley Bentayga Speed. The Novitec Maserati Levante Esteso can speed up to 100 km/h in only 3.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 309 km/h (190 mph). It is almost 3.22 km/h (2 mph) more than the Bentayga Speed.
Not only the Levante Esteso is more powerful, but it is also wider and lower than the Trofeo. The tuner added a new body kit, which includes eight pieces. There are new fender flares at the front and the back to increase the width to 2.09 meters. Moreover, the hood scoop and rear spoiler by Novitec make the SUV more appealing. Other changes include the lower ride height and new 22-inch wheels.
While Novitec has made the Maserati Levante Esteso a very mean machine with all these tweaks, fans who are really looking for a power upgrade can wait for the 2021 Levante Trofeo which will reportedly come with a bigger 4.0L V8 engine created by Maserati.
Novitec did not reveal the price of the Levante Esteso but expect it to be more than the regular Trofeo, which starts from AED 649,000 in the UAE.
