The Coronavirus pandemic isn’t just causing the cancellation of auto shows, it is also affecting the debuts of popular movie franchises. The latest in this regard is our favorite Fast 9, which will now release on April 2, 2021, instead of its previously decided May 2 debut.

While the tweet does not particularly express the Coronavirus as the reason to postpone this debut, the wording “safety of everyone” clearly shows the motive behind this move. We do not think there are any post-production delays, neither the tweet mentions it explicitly.

We already talked about the plot of Fast 9 and the major cars that will take part in this action-packed flick. The fans who have been eagerly waiting for the car stunts have to wait a bit longer to see their heroes in action. And we believe the die-hard Fast 9 followers won’t mind it.
