The UAE Police is working hard to make roads safer for the motorists as well as pedestrians. While Abu Dhabi Police has introduced Smart Gate at Al-Ain road, Dubai Police have created a smart device in association with a tech firm featuring multiple radars that can identify irresponsible drivers.

The smart device is capable of spotting drivers who use phones, violate lane rules, avoid the use of seatbelts, and make sudden swerving on the road.

Brigadier Saif Muheir Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Traffic Department, stated the radars can “identify the status and behavior of drivers” on the thoroughfare. The smart device employs advanced AI and is capable of monitoring any traffic infringement. The device is connected to a 4G network and sends feedback directly to the Dubai Police headquarters.

The Dubai Police have made this smart device operational after numerous successful tests. “The new device, underwent several modifications and experiments until it proved worthy of the monitoring process,” Brig. Al Mazrouei said.
