The Abu Dhabi Police’s first smart gate has started working on Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road. The authorities fixed a radar on the gate to monitor different infringements including speeding, tailgating, illegal entry of the heavy vehicles, parking on the hard shoulder of the road, blocking of the road, and so on. The radar can also identify vehicles with expired permits.
In addition, the smart gate will observe the weather situations and alter the speed limit on the road accordingly. Anyone not complying with the adjusted speed limit will be fined.
The smart system will serve as a board for traffic guidelines to make roads safer to drive. It will help reduce accidents in bad weather conditions.
Motorists are urged to keep checking the smart gate on the Al Ain road to stay safe on the road and avoid fines.
