In December last year, we shared news of Abu Dhabi Police where they presented a 50% traffic fine discount scheme for motorists along with the cancellation of black points and vehicle confiscation charges. The scheme was initiated on December 22 and it had to be ended on March 22. The authorities have just released an update to remind motorists that the program will expire on its prescribed date.

Anyone who has been fined before December 22 can still avail traffic fine discount if they pay before March 22.
The authorities are urging motorists to pay their fines as soon as possible and enjoy the rebate. The initiative was aimed at persuading the drivers to abide by the laws and settle their fines by paying less.
