It is really disheartening that we won’t be able to see different Geneva-bound concept vehicles because the show was called off. However, we can’t help but to share with you one of the most promising coupe-SUVs from the DS Automobiles. Meet the DS Aero Sport Lounge, a profoundly designed concept electric SUV, which takes all the attention for its sleek styling and sheer size.
The five meters long, Aero Sport Lounge boasts big 23-inch wheels and a heavily sloped roofline. Being an electric vehicle, it didn’t require a typical grille but it has a screen instead, with DS Automobiles logo flashing up. The contemporary headlights use matrix LED technology to give the vehicle a futuristic look.
Talking about the electric powertrain, the DS Aero Sport Lounge can create a huge 671 horsepower, which makes it a fast runner. The vehicle can cover zero to 100 km/h distance in 2.8 seconds only. The electric motor takes the juice from a big 110-kWh battery, enabling it to cover around 650 kilometers on a single charge.
Unfortunately, we could not get the interior images of the Aero Sport Lounge, but the automaker told us that they have installed screens inside for exterior cameras as well as displays for every passenger, inside. Moreover, the infotainment system employs haptic control technology. It is like “you’re touching shapes and textures in a completely empty space.”
Thinking of buying this SUV? Unfortunately, you can’t! The automaker has no plans to produce it. However, some of the features and technologies will be used in future vehicles from the DS.
The DS Aero Sport Lounge was supposed to take a place alongside the DS 9 flagship sedan at the Geneva Show, but now we have to wait to see it in person.
