Good news for petroleum consumers in the UAE. The Ministry of Energy and Industry has reduced the UAE fuel prices for March 2020 by approximately 4%. Since the start of the year, we have been witnessing a steady price, but now it finally decreased owing to the coronavirus outbreak.

In March 2020, Super 98 will sell at Dh2.16 (a decrease of 8 fils compared to the current price), Special 95 will cost Dh2.04 (a reduction of 8 fils) while the diesel price will stand at Dh2.25 (a fall of 15 fils).

The oil prices have been continuously decreasing for the past five days with Brent and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) both falling 1.1%.

“Speculations that coronavirus may spread in the United States prompted a series of fresh selling,” Kazuhiko Saito, chief analyst at Fujitomi, said to Reuters. The prices will be further reduced if the epidemic worsens in the coming days.
