A few days back we shared a couple of teaser images of the exterior and some details about the 2021 Kia Sorento and now we have images of the interior, as well. Kia’s South Korean website also reveals the SUV’s codename i.e. “MQ4”.

Kia’s fourth generation midsize SUV is going to get a completely new dash featuring a dual digital screen layout with the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Kia has stretched the vertical air vents on the center console and moved them down a bit. Moreover, the automaker ditched the heavy gear lever for a sophisticated and smarter rotary shifter. We also see buttons for the electric parking brake, start/stop system, heated steering wheel, in addition to the heated and ventilated seats.

Besides the teaser images of the interior, we also have some info from The Korean Car Blog.
According to the details, the 2021 Kia Sorento will likely carry a naturally aspirated 2.5L gasoline engine paired with a manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic. The power will go to the rear wheels. The second option would be a 1.6L turbocharged gasoline mated to a six-speed auto. Both 2WD and 4WD drive options will be available. Diesel fans would love the 2.2L mill assisted by an eight-speed, dual-clutch auto.

The Sorento hybrid is likely to get the above-mentioned 1.6-liter turbo mated to either 2W or 4W drive layout. The engine will be assisted by a six-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain configuration is true for the local market, so we can expect a different mill in the UAE.

The 2021 Kia Sorento will make its official debut on March 3 at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. Stay tuned for more updates!
