The Japanese automaker Toyota breezed into the 2020 Chicago Auto Show with six new editions. Both the Tacoma and Tundra get Trail and Nightshade packages while the 4Runner and Sequoia are solely available in Trail and Nightstand models respectively. Here we will only talk about the Trail Editions, which are aimed at buyers who love the outdoor lifestyles.
The rugged trail editions come in unique shades of Army Green, Cement, Midnight Black, and Super White. In all the models, we can find black badging on the exterior and black seats with tan opposing stitching and all-weather floormats in the interior. Then we have model-specific features.
Starting with the Tundra Trail Edition, it features a chrome grille, exclusive wheels, and lockable bed storage with insulation on the driver’s side.
The Tacoma Trail Edition also boasts the lockable insulated bed storage as well as stylish TRD wheels with all-terrain tires and a 115-volt power outlet in the bed. Both the Tundra and Tacoma are available in two-wheel and four-wheel drive configurations.
The 4Runner Trail Edition comes equipped with unique TRD Wheels in addition to a Yakima roof-mounted cargo basket. Enter inside to find a sliding cargo tray and a 40-quart cooler specifically created for this model. The cooler has a lockable lid, tie-down straps, integrated bottle openers, and a built-in drain.
Toyota didn’t reveal pricing details for these models but hinted its accessibility in the summer. These models will be available on-demand.
