Meet the Felino CB7R sports car, the successor of the CB7, which was introduced in 2014. Made by the Canadian automaker Felino, the official unveiling took place at the Montreal International Auto Show.
Limited to just 10 units, the powerful street-legal CB7R will give buyers a choice of two engines. A 6.2-L V8 or a 7.0L V8 borrowed from General Motors delivering from 525 to 700 horsepower. There are a couple of transmission choices as well; a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed sequential. The most potent engine would be powerful enough to race to 100 km/h in less than 3.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km/h.
The Felino CB7R just carries 2,500 pounds of weight thanks to the abundant use of carbon fiber and other composite elements. It has a front-mid-engined layout with six-piston brake calipers on the front and four on the rear.
The Felino company was founded by a Canadian race driver Antoine Bessette. He started work on the CB7 many years ago with a dream to create a performance car. He finally succeeded in 2016 and the success of the CB7 paved way for the CB7R. Felino also plans to create a lighter, more hardcore CB7+ later this year.
With all the bells and whistles, the Felino CB7R will start at $275,000. The good thing about this sports car is the customization options. The buyer can customize every element of the car as per his/her liking.
