Honda’s luxury brand has introduced the special edition 2020 Acura MDX PMC, which is hand-built by technicians who created the famous NSX. Limited to only 330 units, the PMC (Performance Manufacturing Center) edition isn’t cheap at all. Its price starts at $63,745 (including destination), which is higher than the fully equipped MDX and its hybrid version. We are not complaining though since what you get in this hand-built SUV is unrivaled.
The 2020 Acura MDX PMC is all about appearance, so don’t expect a power upgrade in this edition. It has the same 3.5L V6 engine, which Acura uses in its non-hybrid cars. The engine produces 290-horsepower and mates to a nine-speed automatic transmission that powers all the wheels.
The PMC Edition has a unique Valencia Red Pearl paint with lots of red and black elements on the exterior. The black trim can be seen on the wheels, roof, mirrors, door handles, and grille. Inside, we see the same story but here black takes dominance. The seats, dash door panels, and carpet are all black with red stitching all around the cockpit.
The salient features comprise of A-Spec sport appearance package, active dampers, GPS-linked climate control, a range of driver safety and assist features, ELS Studio sound system with 10 speakers, and so on.
The 2020 Acura MDX PMC is now accessible across the U.S. dealerships. However, we are not sure if the automaker has plans to introduce it in the Middle Eastern markets. Stay tuned for updates!
