The 2021 GMC Canyon AT4 is a very capable offroad truck from the American automaker. GMC ditched the All Terrain model and introduced this mean machine with an optional AT4 Off-Road Performance kit featuring gloss-black aluminum wheels, performance exhaust tip, and black AT4 badges. The mechanical additions include front- and mid-performance skid plates, off-road rocker shield, and a front leveling kit. For the interior, we heard to have all-weather floor liners, only.

You might argue these additions aren’t enough for an offroad performance package, however, we would differ. The 2021 GMC Canyon AT4 is already a very accomplished offroader. See yourself the standard 17-inch wheels wrapped in 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires and the four-wheel drive. Moreover, it has off-road-tuned suspension with hill descent assistance as well as an extra skid plate to shield the transfer case. It features an automatic rear locking differential, too.

The 2021 GMC Canyon AT4 boasts a 3.6L naturally aspirated V6 yielding 308 horsepower and 373 Newton-meters of torque. Those who don’t need extra power can opt for Duramax 2.8L turbodiesel good for 181 hp. However, it has an astonishing extra torque of 500 Nm. The 3.6L mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission while the diesel pairs with six-speed transmission.

GM Authority revealed that the truck will enter production in the mid of this year. The pricing details will be disclosed closer to the launch.
