Good news for drivers who have accumulated huge traffic fines in Ajman! Ajman Police has allowed motorists to pay their penalties in installments. The decision is part of a campaign that aims at spreading happiness.
Major-General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, and Salah Mohammed Amin, CEO Emirates Islamic Bank (EIB), have signed an agreement that would permit drivers to pay their traffic fines in 12 installments.
“The move is meant to bring happiness to the public and help them pay due to fines in easy installment,” stated Maj-Gen Nuaimi.
It is worth noting that only drivers who have accumulated charges of Dh1,000 or more will be entertained. Moreover, the installment plan is only available for Emirates Islamic Bank customers.
A positive point of this agreement is that the bank will not deduct any interest on the installment plan.
