MA Motorsports and Nissan Motorsports joined hands to create a robust, off-road pickup truck, named Nissan Frontier Desert Runner. Presented at the 2019 SEMA Show, this modified Frontier concept carries a 5.6L V8 borrowed from the Titan. However, the makers added a Garrett turbocharger and a custom intercooler to generate extra horsepower,

Moreover, they included new camshafts, pistons, and valves. The result is a 600 horsepower pickup truck, which can conquer any challenging terrain. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual with an updated clutch from Jim Wolf Technology and a lightweight flywheel.

To make it more capable off-road, it gets a BTF Fabrication long-travel front suspension kit as well as King Racing triple-bypass front shocks and coil-overs. The Nissan Frontier Desert Runner uses 37-inch BFGoodrich Baja T/A tires.

For a more relaxed night driving, the truck employs big light bars. Furthermore, this Nissan truck features skid plates to guard the mechanical components.

Other prominent features include revised bumpers, new fenders, a tailored carrier to accommodate a spare rear wheel and secondary lighting.

Inside, we don’t see it deviating much from the standard Frontier, except the unique coating for the floor and racing seats.
