The official dealer of MG Motor in the UAE, Al Yousuf Motors, excited the SUV enthusiasts by displaying the brand-new, innovative seven-seater MG RX8 at their showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road a couple of days back. What makes it stand out in its class is its bigger wheelbase and larger third-row space. It is 4923mm long, 1930mm wide, and 1842mm high with a total wheelbase of 2850mm.

Outside, it features a chrome grille, 20” alloys (subject to grade), and matrix-style LED lights. The customers can choose among six exterior colors.
The interior is made of high-quality wood grain, chrome, and soft-touch trim and other premium materials. Besides, there are 37 storage compartments and 2178-liter boot space, which can accommodate up to nine bags. The SUV gives customers three gorgeous interior color options.
As UAE has a diverse landscape, MG Motor made sure the RX8 could conquer different terrains effortlessly. It boasts a real-time 4×4 Torque on Demand (TOD) System with six driving modes. It has Auto for a shrewd choice; 4L for ‘go-anywhere’ low speed, high torque; Off-road for a strong off-roading feel; Snow for low-adhesion, wet surfaces; Sport for quicker throttle response and more assertive shifting logic; and 2H for fuel-efficient high speed traveling in 2WD mode. The entry-level (STD) model features a 4×2 rear-wheel-drive transmission system.
The power comes from a 2.0-L turbo petrol engine pumping out 220HP and 360Nm of torque. The engine employs Net Blue Technology and is assisted by a six-speed automatic gearbox with the paddle-shift gear change.
The brand-new MG RX8 starts at AED 84,525 (excluding VAT) and gives buyers a six-year or 200,000km warranty.
