Among the most bizarre unveilings at GITEX 2019 was a flying bike by Etisalat. The part motorcycle, part hovercraft is known as Lazareth Moto Volante, which features a 5.2 liter Maserati V8 that creates 470 bhp. The 5G-powered 4-wheel tilting motorbike takes 1 minute to launch and can go one meter high.

Although the details about the flying bike are scarce, we came to know through a source that it weighs 140 kg and creates around 240 kilograms of thrust in flight mode. The producer Lazareth is currently taking pre-orders. The interested buyers have to dish out a whopping €496,000 (US $560,000).

Developed by Ludovic Lazareth, the Lazareth Moto Volante unites 96,000- rpm JetCat jet turbines and hydraulic actuators to convert the road-going motorcycle to a flying hovercraft. The manufacturer also revealed earlier that they could install two more jets close to the middle of the chassis to manage extra weight.

As mentioned earlier, it takes a minute getting ready to lift off. The driver just needs to press a button, which starts the process of transitioning the regular motorbike to a flying bike. Firstly, it heats the jets, which is a slow process and takes about 60 seconds to launch the bike.
