Nissan is bringing 14 vehicles at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show to make a big impact. Out of these, the most fascinating offering is the Nissan IMk electric concept, which is a small city car just 135 inches long. Nissan has created its own “Timeless Japanese Futurism” design philosophy and says they will follow this philosophy in their future vehicles.

The Nissan IMk electric concept is a small yet tall electric car featuring illuminated front grille and a series of LED lights at the back that will function as taillights. The side mirrors are replaced with cameras as we had seen in the recently debuted Honda E.

Inside, we can see the front seats and only two traditional controls on the dash i.e. start button and the gear lever. The roof is entirely made of glass to give a feeling of spaciousness. Most of the controls are touch operated making the interior highly futuristic. This Nissan concept boasts advanced self-driving capabilities, however, it is not fully autonomous. The drivers must take control of the wheel when the situation demands.

Nissan didn’t reveal the technical specifications, however we do know that it will feature one electric motor offering “excellent acceleration and a high level of responsiveness that’s effective in stop-and-go traffic and even on steep slopes.”
