The automaker just revealed the compact crossover SUV would cost buyers $37,595 (including destination) for the entry-level front-wheel drive. Opting for the all-wheel-drive will bump the price to $39,595.
The standard GLB250 will carry a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 producing 221 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The engine’s power is channeled through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, which enables it to hit 96.5 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The top speed is limited to 209 km/h.
Those who love to push the pedals hard to achieve maximum performance should opt any of the two Mercedes-AMG models, including GLB35 and GLB45. Their engines produce 302 hp and 416 hp respectively. Buyers interested in an electrified version of the GLB should wait for the plug-in hybrid model.
Inside, buyers can opt for 5-seat or 7-seat layout. The facilities standard across the range encompass a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a 7.0-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.
Additionally, all the Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class vehicles are highly safe to drive thanks to the electronic driver-assist features. These comprise of brake assist, automatic emergency braking, attention assist, and crosswind assist. Adding more assistance will come at a price. It will incorporate adaptive cruise control with steering assist for highway driving.
