UAE’s most popular SUV has just got better! The 2020 Nissan Patrol debuted in a private event at the Park Hyatt on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. Although we are familiar with Patrol’s true capabilities both on and off-road, the new model puts more emphasis on its all-around ability to conquer any environment and expectation.
Nissan stayed true to Patrol’s signature design with a few tweaks to give it a more demanding appearance. The most evident change on the front is the new ‘V-motion’ grille along with new bumpers. The new bumpers are designed for different environments; one for urban landscape while the other for off-road tracks. Additionally, we see an updated design of LED headlights both on the front and on the rear.
The 2020 Nissan Patrol also gets better inside with an updated center console that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Furthermore, buyers will be happy to see a new seat-stitching pattern. Another excellent improvement inside is a noteworthy drop in noise and vibration. To make things more comfortable inside, the cooling and airflow system has been enhanced.
Nissan is offering the Patrol in 8 different variants, which means customers have plenty of choices. The entry-level model comes equipped with a 4.0L V6 pumping out 275 horsepower. Those who love to achieve better performance should opt for the 5.6L V8 that creates the power of 400 horses.
Nissan has been producing the Patrol since 1951 and sold about 1.9 million units so far. It shows the hard work the automaker has put onto this nameplate to make it desirable throughout these years.
The 2020 Nissan Patrol is accessible at Nissan dealerships across UAE at a starting price of Dh199,900 (inclusive of 5 percent VAT). Those who love to experience the true potential of the SUV have to dish out Dh329,000. Comparing the prices, the 2019 Patrol costs AED 181,000 and goes as high as AED 312,000.
