Audi is going to add the final electric vehicle in their four series concept, which will be an offroader. Named the Audi AI: Trail Quattro, it will break cover at the upcoming 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show (Sept 12-22). The previous three concepts included Aicon sedan, PB18 grand tourer, and AI:ME hatchback.

The complete design and specifics are still a mystery as Audi only released a teaser image shown above. By looking at the released picture, we can see that Audi has given Trail Quattro a sleek and angular finish. There are several edges on the body and to balance them out, the designers have added curved glass windows making the overall look of the vehicle quite captivating.

The “Quattro moniker” clearly indicates it will come with a standard all-wheel-drive.  We expect the Audi AI: Trail Quattro to either have two electric motors (one at each axle) or opt for four motors (one at each wheel). It would let the vehicle control torque for each wheel for an enhanced off-road experience.

Looking at the teaser, we feel Audi won’t gamble to take the Trail Quattro into production. We do not see many electric offroaders in the market, but this concept would definitely create the hype and who knows Audi might think of producing it if it gets enough attention from the people.
