The American automaker has introduced a brand-new feature named Ford Sat-Nav Breadcrumbs, which allows drivers to find their way off-road. Added in their newly launched vehicle Ranger Raptor, what makes this feature so special is the user-friendliness and innovation brought about in navigation system as a whole.

Don’t remember if you took the last left or right while being away from the beaten track? The Ford Sat-Nav Breadcrumbs system is here to navigate you every second of the way. It puts a “virtual pin” on the map, guiding the driver back on the road by identifying his used wheel tracks, making exploring off-tracks much convenient and time-saving too.

Activating the breadcrumb navigation is easy as well; the driver needs to enable the “Breadcrumbs” option in the Sync 3 infotainment system. Once activated, it’ll track their location while the vehicle is off-road, using the GPS System and navigate them back on the same route they used to get away from the road.

Ford introduced the new system in the Ranger Raptor because it is purpose-built for offroad adventures. It can conquer offroad tracks at a reasonable speed quickly jumping over rutted tracks giving a Monster-truck-like experience.

The Ranger Raptor stands out due to its unique heavy body design, huge tires raising its height, as well as due to its attractive interior.

The power comes through a 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine churning out 210 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission enabling it to hit 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds. Yes, it is not fast on its toes, nor built for straight-line performance. The Raptor is more suitable for offroading adventures and with its new Breadcrumb navigation system, drivers will now have no problem getting lost discovering off-road tracks.

Unfortunately, the Ranger Raptor is not available here. However, you can contact Ford UAE to find out if they can install the Breadcrumbs navigation system in the Ranger Wildtrak.
