There are more reasons to opt for Chevy Bolt EV, as the automaker has improved the drive range by 34 km. The 2020 Chevy Bolt EV will come with an EPA-estimated range of 417 Km, which is way above the Tesla Model 3 Standard Range (354 km), and the Model 3 Standard Range Plus (386 km miles). What makes purchasing the new Bolt more lucrative is the affordable price tag of $37,495, which is the same as the outgoing model.
The automaker boosted the energy of the cell electrodes for better drive range. The new battery is 66 kilowatt-hours, which is 6 Kwh more than the 2019 model. Interestingly, it has the same size as the 60 kwh battery, thus fits perfectly in the platform.
Regarding the powertrain, the 2020 Chevy Bolt EV will have one electric motor fitted in front creating a power of 200 horses and 266 pound-feet of torque. It enables the EV to jump from 0 to 96.5 km/h in around 7.0 seconds.
The new 2020 Chevy Bolt EV will be accessible in two new shades. Chevrolet also has plans to develop an electric crossover soon based on the Bolt EV.
