The 2020 Honda Civic Si is going to hit the roads on September 6th, boasting a bit more grace and better acceleration compared to the 2019 model. With subtle yet essential changes both at the front and the rear, the appealing sedan and coupe models will start from $25,930 (including destination charges).
The 2020 Honda Civic Si encompasses a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 205 horsepower. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual as usual. While the power figures did not change, Honda has improved the final drive ratio by 6% for better acceleration. Although Honda did not provide the exact number, a 6% increase will definitely make it more responsive.
As for the exterior, this new model exhibits some more body-color above the corner inlet. The LED headlights now appear brighter while the slim strip of a fake mesh now replaces the big faux outlets on the back. Inside, the car features minor changes such as red trimming on the instrument panel and the seats.
The 2020 Civic Si also includes Honda Sensing Suite as standard, offering more safety and assistance on the road. It consists of collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control, road departure warning, and other features. To give drivers a sports car-like sound, Honda has installed an Active Sound Control system.
Unfortunately, Honda does not offer Civic Si in the UAE. The best we get here is the Civic RS 1.5 Turbo, starting from AED 97,900.
