After revealing a new teaser image a few days back, the American coachbuilder Rezvani has finally unveiled the 2020 Rezvani Tank, based on the new JL Wrangler. The previous version was based on the JK Wrangler. As revealed in our earlier article, Rezvani said it would be the “most powerful production SUV on the planet,” thanks to the available 1,000 horsepower.
To make the new Tank different from its predecessor, Rezvani improved the chassis and added new details. We can see different light designs on the front as well as on the rear.
Focusing more on the ‘power’ figures, Rezvani tweaked the Challenger SRT Demon’s supercharged V8 to create more than 1,000 hp and 870 pound-feet of torque. The previous Tank was powered by a 707hp 6.2L supercharged V8 taken from the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Please note not all models of the 2020 Rezvani Tank are fitted with the tuned Demon engine. Only the top-of-the-line Tank X has it as standard for $349,000. The base model only creates half of the power of Tank X; it features a 6.4L V8 churning out 500 hp and costs $155,000. Those looking to buy themselves the Military Tank Edition have to dish out $295,000. It would have the same engine as available in the Base Tank. However, there is a range of protective gears such as armored body panels, electromagnetic pulse protection, military-spec run-flat tires, a night vision camera, blinding lights, and ram bumpers.
The automaker has opened the order books, so hurry up if you are interested in buying yourself a capable, rugged SUV.
