We all know how important it is to retain your customers for sustainable growth. However, when it comes to retaining auto customers and improving brand loyalty, the task becomes even more daunting. Not for Lexus, though! They have been able to reach at the top of the Luxury Brand Ranking in J.D. Power’s Automotive Brand Loyalty Study.

Luxury Brands

The J.D. Power’s Automotive Brand Loyalty statistics show that Lexus is the most preferred brand for customers looking to trade-in or purchase a new vehicle with 47.6 loyalty percentage. It shows motorists’ trust in the luxury brand. Second on this list is Mercedes (44.2%) followed by three best German automakers, BMW (43.6%), Porsche (43.5%) and Audi (43.3%) that compete closely. Sitting at the bottom are Jaguar (20.6%), Infiniti (32.1%), and Volvo (33.3%). Seeing Jaguar at the lowest position is no surprise since the brand is struggling recently to make profits.

Mass Market Brands

J.D. Power also studied the Mass-market Brands and found Subaru’s customers most loyal to the brand. A good number of 61.5% customers picked another Subaru when they went shopping for a new car. Taking the second and third places are two renowned and obvious Japanese automakers, Toyota (59.5%) and Honda (57.5%).

Talking about the domestic automakers, surprisingly RAM (56.2%) stood at the top, followed by Ford (54%) and Chevrolet (49). Another surprising fact is the higher loyalty percentage of Kia (49.4%) over Hyundai (44.8%), Kia’s parent company.
