After serving Jaguar for straight 20 years, the renowned auto designer Ian Callum has left the automaker – for good reasons. Following designing celebrated cars for Ford and Aston Martin, he thought to get back to the spirit of creativity by starting his own design firm. The firm will not design the vehicles only; they will develop “bespoke and limited-edition products across the sectors of design, lifestyle, and travel.”

The company has bought a new 20,000 square-foot facility in Warwick to make Callum’s dream a reality. “I wanted to get back to the essence of creativity; the challenge of producing something wonderful and personal,” stated Ian Callum. “To design, the alternative has always been my mantra, but always the beautiful alternative and something to enjoy. In today’s modern world, collaboration is the catalyst for new ideas, and this is our ethos and inspiration, both within our team and as we look to work with partners in the future. Callum is an exciting new chapter that will focus on ‘Journeys to Destinations,’ and all that encompasses.”

To put his company on the right track from day one, Callum hired some of the best talents in the automotive industry. David Fairbairn will work as Program Director. The famous Adam Donfrancesco who worked on the Aston Martin GT8, GT12 and numerous other products will work as Engineering Director. Tom Bird will serve as Commercial Director bringing to the table his extensive experience working with PWC, Barclays, and Jaguar Land Rover.

“Callum brings together highly-experienced, skilled and enthusiastic people that share the same want – the opportunity and freedom to create and produce products that excite,” stated Fairbairn. “We love what we do, and we have the passion, collective experience, and know-how to create some exceptional, diverse products across design, lifestyle, and travel.”

The design firm will reveal information about its first project soon.
