While Mercedes-AMG did not work on upgrading the power output of the GLC63, the new 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLC43 has got a 23-horsepower boost. Available in two-box SUV and crossover-coupe styling, the new GLC43 comes with a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 good for 385 hp. The power boost has been possible by using bigger turbochargers and a rearranged ECU.

Talking about the performance figures, the 2020 Mercedes-AMG GLC43 jumps to 96.5 km/h in only 4.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h with all-season tires. If you are looking to go even faster, opt for summer performance tires. The power goes to all the wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission. However, the good news is AMG offers 31:69 power split, speed-sensitive power steering and an air suspension with adaptive damping to give us better-handling prowess.

We see only subtle changes on the outside and some prominent additions inside such as the new Mercedes’ infotainment system (MBUX), which you can handle through a touchpad, touch-sensitive buttons on the steering wheel and natural-speak voice activation. The GLC43 also brings us a new gesture control system (optional), called the MBUX Interior Assistant, which employs a camera that detects specific hand movements.

The pricing details are not revealed yet. However, 2019 GLC SUV starts at AED 181,600 while the crossover-coupe costs AED 213,808 for the base model. The deliveries will begin in the last quarter of this year.
