According to Road Safety UAE, motorists tailgate for a few reasons. They do it when they find a slow vehicle in front of them, they are running late, or when they have no idea of tailgating.

Thomas Edelmann, managing director of Road Safety UAE, said: “The majority of UAE motorists recognize the dangers of tail-gating, however only 59 percent never tailgate. Tailgaters blame slower vehicles in front, or their own ‘running late’ for their offensive behavior.”

Keep a safe distance and stay safe on the road!
