Audi Middle East has started a virtual reality training program for Audi service technicians, which will enable them to learn about highly sensitive technologies before the launch of electrification and Audi e-Tron in the region.
“We want to provide our service partners with the best possible support during the transformation toward electric mobility, while digitally aligning our training offering,” says Carsten Bender, Managing Director, Audi Middle East. “This is why Audi has been working intensively on innovative training concepts for the required qualification profiles. The targeted use of virtual reality is an important building block in this process.”
Audi service technicians will study about opening the battery, change a switch box or battery module and other things, in a virtual environment without any risk. In this virtual reality training, both the mentor and the students will be able to collaborate virtually. Audi Middle East is also working to create an application for car body professionals at showrooms that will permit them to understand the e-Tron as a 3D model. All the content related to training will be able on Cloud for the dealerships.
The trainings will be held at Audi Middle East Training Center in Dubai Airport Free Zone.
Carsten Bender, Managing Director Audi Middle East talking about the VR Training module said, “Transformation towards digitalization and electric mobility requires new media and qualifications to ensure we give the best customer satisfaction in the Middle East and we are proud to be one of the first regions in the world to use this with our dealer network”.
