GMC Middle East has introduced the next-generation 2019 GMC Sierra lightweight pickup truck in the Middle East with an updated design, better capability, and innovative technologies. Accessible in Crew Cab body configuration, customers can choose among six trim levels including two new trims. These include Sierra, SLE, SLT, premium Denali, the first-ever AT4 with rigid off-road competence and the new Elevation model, which is introduced here for the first time. GMC has completely revamped the truck making it longer (offering around 8 centimeters more legroom in the rear) and bolder.

Daniella D’Souza, Head of Brand, GMC Middle East, said: “After showcasing the new 2019 GMC Sierra at special events in the region, customers across the Middle East can now drive off in one themselves. Not only will they be able to enjoy the significant benefits provided by the completely re-designed 2019 Sierra, but, for the first time, they will also have six different versions to choose from.”

The 2019 GMC Sierra gives customers multiple powertrain options including the 4.3L V6, the all-new 2.7-liter turbocharged and the next generation 5.3-liter V-8 (with Dynamic Fuel Management system). All these engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 6.2L V-8 engine has also been updated and is optional for the 2019 Sierra AT4. The same power unit is standard for the Denali. This engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine boasts stop/start technology and new Dynamic Fuel Management.

The offroading champ, the Sierra AT4 can be distinguished from its unique appearance. It features a 2-inch suspension lift for extra ground clearance, four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case, off-road tuned Rancho monotube shock absorbers, a locking rear differential, and a state-of-the-art Traction Select System.

Elevation
Next Generation 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation makes a statement in design, capability and advanced connectivity.

The new Elevation model looks different owing to its commanding appearance and inspiring features like exclusive monochromatic door handles, bumpers and grille surround. Other facilities include the grille insert, tow hooks, side window trim, and available 20-inch gloss-black aluminum wheels.

The SLE gets the same kind of stuff as we find in the new Elevation, plus it has cruise control, a rear-vision camera, and an improved 8-inch diagonal GMC Infotainment System with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The SLT acquires these and the standard facilities like a remote vehicle starter system, Infotainment System and others.

Entry Level Sierra

The entry-level Sierra carries a 4.3L V6 engine with Active Fuel Management. It features signature C-shaped LED headlamps in both the front and rear, 12 fixed cargo tie-downs, big rear corner bumper steps, and front recovery hooks. Inside, it has a GMC infotainment system on a 7-inch diagonal screen with standard Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility.

We do not have the final word on the price of the new models. However, the price of the 2018 GMC Sierra starts from AED 113,400 while the Denali sets you back AED 232,400.
