The British automaker has finally revealed the official performance numbers of the Aston Martin Valkyrie as the production cars are near completion. The hybrid powertrain includes a Cosworth-built 65° naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine producing a spine-tingling 1,000bhp (or 153.8 bhp-per-liter) at 10,500rpm, which can bump to 11,100rpm and 740Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. The Internal Combustion Engine’s output is further augmented by the battery’s hybrid system, which adds 160bhp and 280Nm of torque. Overall, the maximum power output of Aston Martin Valkyrie stands at 1,160bhp @ 10,500rpm and 900Nm @ 6,000rpm.

The advanced powertrain is a brainchild of Red Bull Advanced Technologies. The company implemented their decades of experience in Formula One to create this exceptional powertrain where each component is a part of a larger system carrying out multiple tasks at a time, unlike traditional hybrid systems where every part performs one role.

Integral Powertrain Ltd and Rimac are the brains behind the KERS-style boost system, which works similar to systems used in F1 vehicles. The hybrid system takes shape with a customized electric motor from Integral Powertrain Ltd and the battery from Rimac.

The Aston Martin Valkyrie production project is being supervised by Aston Martin Lagonda, Red Bull Advanced Technologies and AF Racing.
