Alongside its new generation of Plug-In-Hybrid models, BMW Energy Services step in to offer customers affordable electricity plans in Germany. The service is already available in Switzerland and France for electric car users, fleet operators, energy suppliers, and real estate owners.
The new BMW 7 Series comes with a new styling, updated engine range, and innovative driver assistance and connectivity features. The 7 Series is also available in plug-in hybrid models with improved drive power and better electric range.
The fans at the Geneva International Motor Show can also witness the world premiere of the BMW X3 xDrive30e. The plug-in hybrid model carries a 4-cylinder petrol engine assisted by an electric motor powering all the wheels. The total power output stands at 185 kW/252 hp, which can be further improved by up to 30 kW/41 hp as the electric motor is used to its full potential. The new BMW X3 xDrive30e can hit 100 km/h from standstill in only 6.5 seconds. The lithium-ion high-voltage battery enables the car to cover 50 kilometers on the battery alone. Additionally, BMW is offering second-generation plug-in hybrid variants of the BMW 7 Series (as mentioned above), BMW X5 and BMW 3 Series Sedan.
Furthermore, the automaker has improved the batteries to offer a better driving range. The updated battery cell technology will be available in the BMW 530e Sedan and BMW 225xe Active Tourer. These models will go on sale in July this year.
