PEUGEOT is arriving at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show blazing all the electrified guns. Get ready for the two world premieres including the new PEUGEOT 208 (combustion and electric versions) and the PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED 508 Concept, created by PEUGEOT SPORT – automaker’s sub-brand focusing on high-performance electrified vehicles. Additionally, PEUGEOT is showcasing PEUGEOT 3008, 508 sedan, and SW featuring new Plug-in Hybrid petrol engines. Furthermore, fans who admired the PEUGEOT e-Legend Concept at the Paris Motor show earlier would again love to see this all-electric car once again
The new generation of PEUGEOT 208 gives customers three engine choices: 100% electric, petrol, and diesel. The new 208 is a highly advanced car taking its inspiration from PEUGEOT FRACTAL concept car. It got the new PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® with a 3D head-up combo, a range of advanced driving aids available in high-end models only, and the connectivity features through the Mirror Screen function and the TomTom® Traffic 3D navigation.
Talking about the new PEUGEOT e-208, it is recognizable through a grille in the similar shade as the exterior, dichroic lions (a procedure that alters the shade as per the watching angle), and an “e-208” monogram on the back and the letter “e” on the rear fenders. The all-electric version of 208 generates 136 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque from the word go.
The PEUGEOT SPORT ENGINEERED 508 Concept is the brainchild of PEUGEOT SPORT featuring sharper front bumper, sharpened grille with floating blades, rocker panels equipped with flaps, fins on the rear quarter panels, and a new diffuser at the back. All these are exclusively built to up the efficiency and performance thanks to the powertrain, which is a combination of three machines i.e. a 200hp PureTech petrol engine, two electric motors with 110hp in the front axle and 200hp motor at the rear. The car can travel 50 km purely on electric power.
The new PEUGEOT 3008 Hybrid4 and 508 hybrid sedan versions will be available for sale in Autumn. Additionally, PEUGEOT is the only brand at the show showcasing 2,3 and 4 wheel drive vehicles. Fans would love to see the new electric advancements for PEUGEOT Cycles and PEUGEOT Motorcycles.
