The BMW Group Middle East has opened a new Training Center in Dubai South to tackle electrification challenges in the region. Dubai wants to electrify its transport system and this center will do everything to fulfill this agenda.
The inauguration of the new Training Center was carried out by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) in the presence of Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC) on February 27th, 2019.
The 5,300 sqm BMW Training Center will educate around 2,000 workers on how to best deal with BMW’s new generation of electrified vehicles. Moreover, the BMW Group Brand and Customer Institute is a part of the Center that focuses on brand promotion. The staff trained here will resolve customer queries and educate them about the new BMW electric cars and their strengths.
Talking about the new training center, H.E Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman, Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, stated: “BMW has only three centers of this kind in the world and this is what makes the hosting of this training center a coveted distinction for Dubai South This move is testament to Dubai South’s global reputation as a preferred free zone destination for leading global investors to set up their business. The new training center will train staff across the Middle East to deal with the range of electric and hybrid cars from the German automaker. The staff will also receive training on the BMW i3, which will hit the roads of Middle East soon.

Dubai South is a Free-Zone and a strategic location for worldwide companies to start their operations here. The BMW Training Center is situated adjacent to Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) and the Expo 2020 site.
