General Tire, a subsidiary of the premium German tire firm, Continental looking to expand its operations in the region, is flexing their muscles by introducing a brand-new range of tires for the summers. The high grip Altimax One & One S promise to deliver superior performance with a primary focus on the drivers’ safety. The company has taken into account the region’s driving conditions and developed the summer tires that truly stand out in the Middle East.
The tires feature excellent grip and traction properties. New rigid shoulder blocks and a continuous rib structure in the center offer precision while handling and braking.
Ricardo Martins, Head of Marketing, Continental Middle East said: “General Tire has been delivering top quality tires for the last 100 years. A Continental brand since 1987, General Tire’s latest range of summer tires – The Altimax One and Altimax One S tires will enhance our customers’ driving experiences here in the region by providing them with the confidence they need to tackle the dry and diverse terrains.”
Both the Altimax One & One S feature General Tire’s unique Visual Alignment Indicator (VAI) and Replacement Tire Monitor (RTM) technology. The VAI enables the driver to detect wheel misalignment, whereas, the RTM sends a notification to the driver when the tire reaches its maximum tread depth.
The Altimax One and One S come in 49 sizes for rims, ranging from 15 to 20 inches while covering a vast array of vehicles from the compact to midsize and high-performance versions. These summer tires can reach a top speed of 229km/h. The Altimax One and One S enable motorists to drive with complete confidence at high speeds and corners.
The Altimax One and Altimax One S tires will be available for purchase in the second quarter of 2019.
