Elon Musk revealed in a Tweet that all of their cars with Enhanced Autopilot will get Tesla Sentry Mode. The tweet was sent in response to a customer’s protest. Musk cleared that the system will watch over the car while parked through different cameras.

Tesla will program the car to look after it from different angles. The point to note here is that the feature was supposed to be only available for Enhanced Autopilot (EA) cars. The EA costs buyers a lot of money. However, later Musk mentioned that all cars with AP2+ hardware would get the Tesla Sentry Mode. They do want this security feature to be available on a large scale.
Using car cameras to augment its security is not a new concept. We say it is a right step ahead. Tesla last year allowed to use the forward-facing camera as a dashcam recorder.
Regarding a customer’s query about Advanced Summon feature, Musk said “it is ready to roll out. Regulators just approved.”
We cannot say when it will be accessible. We do expect it to be free for all owners.
