Volvo’s electric car brand Polestar has teased its second electrified car again. It looks like a small sport sedan featuring a full-width light bar at the rear. Interestingly, the entire roof is made of glass. Named Polestar 2, it will have batteries powerful enough to generate 400 horsepower and 300 miles of driving range.
The Polestar 2 will rival Tesla’s Model 3, so we can expect price near to its competitor. Buyers should expect to dish out at least $40,000 for the car and can see it in its full glory at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. One exclusive news about the car is that Google will power its infotainment system. It will be the first application of this system.
Talking about the brand, the high-performance electric car brand is working on 3 models at the moment. Polestar 1 will be the first to hit the showrooms in the second quarter of this year, the Polestar 2 will hit production lines at the end of this year or the start of next year while the Polestar 3 will be a small electric SUV which will hit the road in the next 3 years.
Interested customers can book Polestar electric cars online or visit small gallery-style dealerships, known as Polestar Spaces. These will not be company owned. However, some of Volvo’s dealerships might also exhibit the new electric cars and offer servicing as well.
