After Suzuki unveiled a couple of Jimny pickup concepts before their debut at the 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon, a Japanese tuner Wald International has created a modified version of Jimny Sierra. Called, the Jimny Black Bison Edition, the tuner did its best to give it a more sinister look imitating the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
The Special Edition Jimny adds a reshaped front bumper, a new grille, headlight covers, and an aerodynamic hood. Furthermore, it has a four-piece LED headlight system on the new front bumper and LED lights on the roof as well. To give it an aggressive offroader look, Wald installed a set of knobbier off-road tires with orange accents on the wheels.
We did not hear anything about the powertrain changes, so we expect to see either the regular 660-cc turbocharged inline-3 or a 1.5-liter inline-4 powering all the wheels.
Talking about the two Jimny concepts debuting on January 11 in Japan, those might not go into production (at least for now). However, Wald’s Jimny Black Bison Edition will reportedly go into production. Pricing details are not out yet, so we have to wait for the unveiling at the Tokyo Auto Salon for more details.
